Shots Fired: KRS-One vs. Jeff Chang

Like he usually does to music journalists every couple of months, KRS-One took some shots at Jeff Chang. Jeff responds like the educated scholar he is. Reading the Teacha’s rant constantly reminded me of his feud with Adisa Banjoko.

Seriously though, someone needs to put that KRS/Adisa soundbite on a rap record (as an intro): “What I wanna do is jump over this table and whip your f***in ass, that’s what I wanna do.” Classic.

    It’s not beef tho. Saying its beef imo will make it sensationalized when it really isn’t. KRS says he’s got respect for dude, appreciates his contribution but gripes about certain things included there and highlights them from that book. I too was kinda stunned seeing that but hey its Chang’s own opinion and he has a right to it.

    One thing I’ve learnt is intentions are hard to judge based on product or image alone. If someone’s intentions are clear they can often get misconstrued for or as something else.
