Common endorses fellow Chicagoan Barack Obama for the White House. Comm, who was the first to namedrop Obama on a rap record (to the best of my knowledge), says he’s voting for the Illinois senator on February 5th.

Who are you voting for?

My first chance to presidentially elect…
If I didn’t vote Obama, I’d lose my black card

check out Karmaloop.com, they have Artful Dodger, LRG (the Jason Hoodie!!), fresh Jive, them supra high tops, and all kinds of stuff for both men, and wemon. when you check out across from where you put in your address in the lower right hand corner you’ll see a box that says REP CODE, put in CX16629 to get 20% off the first order, then 10% off every other one, there’s a trick though…you check out with your e-mail address which is where they send the order confirmation to, so if you use a different e-mail address everytime you check out, you’ll keep getting 20% off!!! check it out (myspace.com/ghetaway2)

Heard about this endorsement at GlobalGrind.com, I’m not sure how I feel about this though, because what are they getting at, that we should vote for Obama because Common is???

Barack has had my vote since I met him two years ago and he told me that I was the future…I dont know what that means, but he’s got a great handshake!

But hold up, Ivan, I thought you were a 35 percenter?

    LOL

Yes, I support guys like Kucinich, but at the end of the day, I’m also realistic.

The whole purpose of the 35 percenters is to get Kucinich’s name out there since, ahem, only 35% of people have even heard of him.

John Edwards.. antipoverty, great enviromental policy, poverty is the main issue I vote on, and social justice.

I like Obama too though, and Kucinich has some great policies

As much as I would like to see a black president, I’m skeptical they are just using his “blackness” to stir up the election and get black people to vote…

Then he gets in office and is no better than any of the other black people in government office. We shouldnt elect people based on race because when it all comes down to it they are all political figures and that gives them more in common than being of a certain race does.

Him being black doesnt make him any more like you or me than a white dude up there.

Right now I’m leaning towards hillary, she ran our country last time while her man got blown (but not inhaled) by a fat intern. Shes a strong person and knows how our government works.

Dont just do shit because you’re black and feel obligated… we already tried that shit with oj…
    doesnt work.
