This one’s from Von Pea (of Tanya Morgan fame). It has the best interpretation of “Hello Brooklyn” I’ve heard so far. And this is coming from a guy who skips the OG when listening to the album. Pea also killed it on “No Hook.” Word of advice to producers: Please leave “American Dreamin’” alone, you can’t make it better for me.

Not bad. I’m still waiting for someone to kill it on Roc Boys. This one comes close to having the same celebratory vibe of the original, but it feels a little stilted still. Most of the other versions I’ve heard are really somber.

    Keep ‘em comin’!

That verse Von Pea put in over Hello Brooklyn is just heat. The neighborhood references are amazing.

Clap, I’m liking your remixes too, though sometimes the beats are hot and don’t exactly match the song’s feeling. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it can be a bit jarring.

Thanks! You’re definitely right, I didn’t always think about the theme. Basically because I wanted to be quick with it. I just wanted to make it sound tight. But thanks a lot for checking it and giving feedback! I really appreciate those things!
