Criminals Gone Wild: Real or Fake?

There’s a video circulating around which captures a bunch of “criminals” robbing folks on the street while being videotaped. The DVD was packaged by a Brooklyn filmmaker who claims he just happened to be “at the wrong place at the right time.” But one of the “actors” in the documentary says it’s all fake. He’s now telling the film director to fess up before somebody gets arrested. No sh*t, Sherlock.

Anyhow, the FBI is already investigating the matter to find out, among other things, whether it’s real or fake. Watch the video and let me know if you think it’s real or fake? [Keep in mind: In one of the scenes, the guy being robbed recognizes his assailant and asks him what's going on.]

    Shit is fake my dude. Take it from someone who really has robbed people. After the first 20 minutes I cut it off. The actions, reactions, mannerisms, etc. all looked staged.

    And one more thing no one seems to talk about. If it were real, the person who shot the footage would have gotten arrested already because he would have been an accomplice to the crimes.

    @Goines – i am starting to think you are right, but the FEDS/NYPD are investigating the sale of this DVD as we speak. WABC reported the other day that the victims of the DVD were trying to get the info on the criminals to press charges.

    we’ll see how it goes. all i know is i tried getting a press copy of this for review and dude turned me down. oh well.

    I was a cameraman about 5 years ago for a video/website that claimed it was letting men hunt naked women in the desert with paintballs (huntingforbambi.com). It was ALL staged even though the producer swore on CNN and other news sources that it was all real! It was just a gimmick for money, the same as this stupid video!

    perhaps some of it is real and some of it is fake…remember if it’s real, there is no law in the state of New York saying that you must report a crime if you see one, so FD is not obligated by law to say anything. Both say that the other one is lying…well somebody’s lying!

    i think some of it is fake and other parts are real.

    judging by the victims and criminals reactions, faces and suttle movements i would say pretty much all the black guys crimes committed were real. the only thing im sure is fake is the white dude, he stood out, his acting, his actions all looked fake as hell. i think the film-makers put in a white actor to even things out and not make it look like black guys were to blame.

    in conclusion:

    everything real, except for the white dude.

    its obvious he’s a real criminal, he’s not an actor. his face his teeth, his clothes, the way he speaks and him on the DVD clearly show he his a criminal. He went on TV to make some money off interviews ect. and also if he states it was fake the cops wont put him in jail.

    well a lot of it is clearly real. any of you non believing kids are probably 15 white and rich. when you finally do meet a person like in those videos you will finally understand.

    the white guy might have been acting, i was suspicious of it as well. most of the black guys were real, in fact i know a person who is exactly like one of them.

    it started as a wannabe documentary that led to a street gimic for local criminals to make money or “be the baddest”.

    the fact they are saying its fake is so noone will get arrested. the criminals are thinking… what was i doing?.. if i was the filmmaker i would fear retaliation from the gangsters.

    Whether fake or not, people were trying to get across some important messages. And I think it’s possible that some interviews are real and some are scripted… but I’m pretty sure most of this movie is fake. Pay attention to the message though.

    Its real, some of the guys who are on film have been shot dead, others are in prison. Look up the history of some of these “actors”, they do have criminal records.
