    Anyone who still didn’t/doesn’t think this is a concept album clearly wasn’t/hasn’t been listening hard enough. This is a landmark album right here. If his sound was more root-based and less futuristic-styled, he’d be receiving praise as Nas’ long-lost, gifted younger brother.

    whaaaa? how? make a post and explain.

    i like the album, but that’s a stretch. what exactly did it redefine? complex lyricism and rhyming patterns aren’t new.

    i’d say graduation did more to redefine hip-hop, production wise, than the cool.
