So, I flip open the latest issue of Rolling Stone and what do I see? More Niggermania:

“This record is a lot more serious than hip-hop,” says Nas, who tackles race and American history on his new album. Polow da Don, Stargate, and Cool and Dre contribute beats to the disc, which includes “Be a Nigga Too” (a play on the Dr. Pepper jingle), the Fox News-slamming “Sly Fox,” and “This Is Not America,” on which he raps about sexism and racism in the U.S. “This album is like talking to your child about sex,” says Nas. “It’s uncomfortable, but it’s important.”

I’m going to file this under “niggermania” because Nas’ album is gradually going the way of Detox. All talk and no music.

    “All talk and no music.”

Agreed. Or it’ll be like Hip Hop Is Dead and have one or two songs relating to the concept and the rest about… um, what were those other songs again?

Hahah nice one bubba. We all just need to be patient. I really don’t think he’s going to pull a detox on us. I’d prefer he take his time with this album, with the name of the LP being what it is. A Lot of people are going to be talking about this record when it drops, so it better be gooood.

interesting list of headlining producers, those stargate dudes are straight r’n'b. but as far as polow and cool & dre, i’d rather hear nas over some “boy looka here”/”hate it or love it” shit than the boring production thats weighed down his last few albums. hoefully just blaze, no id and jake one are still producing
