Papa Knowles called in to Houston’s KRBE and railed against radio host Special K for calling Solange a bitch on a previous show. “Special K, you talk a lot of smack for someone who lives in Houston.” Matthew also offered a staunch defense of his daughter Solange over this incident.
According to him, Solange Knowles probably makes more money as a songwriter than her more famous sister. He then went on to say that he expects the city of Houston to support his family because “I think that for what my family does for the city of Houston I expect one city to be very supportive of my family because we give and we give and we give to the city of Houston.” He’s pretty much saying, “Shut up and buy our albums.”
I won’t comment further on this story, seeing as I live and work in Houston.
