Kanye West – “Coldest Winter”
This pretty much sums up Kanye’s premise for 808s & Heartbreak: “Sorry, my mom died.” As long as he continues to deliver on the music end, I can’t complain.

Kanye West – “Robocop”
Slightly prettier than “Coldest Winter” but equally emotional. This album should’ve been titled Yeezy’s Diary. I suspect it’ll have “Sorry, my girlfriend dumped me” written all over it as well.

    fuck this nonsense. why does everyone keep saying, “i cant stand the autotune, but the BEATS ARE AMAZING”, the beats are weak!!! by far the worst of any of his releases. cheesy rhythms, cheesy drums, terribly over simplified. lets be honest with ourselves here, this little experimental project here isnt dope, just because its kanye. shit.

He’s been a creative genius since entering the game, and this transition to singer is no exception. His beats are tight, lyrics raw with emotion, and production (even with the autotune) laced with fiyah.

    why are some of you hating so much…these tracks are far from shit…at first i didnt like them…but after you get over the initial shock of how different these songs are…you start to listen and apprectiate them for what they are rather than hate them for what they arent.
