Total Request Live (TRL) closed its doors permanently during yesterday’s Total Finale Live. Not that anyone will miss TRL, but there was a time when this show actually meant something. I’m kinda happy to see it go. Too bad they couldn’t take 106 & Park along.

    Countless black people died over that word. We took something that was full of hate & made it our own.
    To say around us, is like throwing in our faces.

    And why would whites wanna say it anyway? I grew up in a household where someone in my famliy would call someone else a “nigga”.
    Whites don’t… at least I don’t think they do.
