Copywrite – “The Real Fake Shady” (Asher Roth Diss)
What’s Copywrite yapping about on this song? Asher Roth sounds absolutely nothing like Eminem. In fact, Asher Roth sounds more like Biggies Smalls, except better.

LOL @ “this is my reeeeeeal voiice … kids stay in college”

I feel like Copy says valid shit, but it still comes across like a cheap move to get a buzz.

Haha. The sarcasm is hilarious. But, what’s even funnier is that someone is soon gonna read that and think you’re being serious and get all angry. Hahaha.

asher roth is the the rich white kid’s eminem and he is legit. it just shows that rap is universal, like anything that’s good.

@ done: 3rd Bass is legit but going after Hammer wasn’t exactly uncowardly. Everyone and their moms was going after Hammer back then.

Sorry Fam I respectfully disagree and state that Asher sounds damn near Exactly like Em. Wether or not its natural or by design I can’t call, but his voice and occasionally his flow are damn near replica’s of Eminem period point blank.

    This song tho….ehhhhhhh

ok, so asher voice has some similarity to eminem.
    and he raps.

i think it says a lot that just because these two are white rappers that they are automatically compared. imagine just how many black rappers there are out there…so many of whom sound like so many others.

i wont deny the similarity between asher and em, but i would like to point out that the subject matter and tone that each takes is very different. there is something to be said for this.

i, for one, enjoy kickin a little asher for the start of a weekend or something, whereas i put em on for pump up or dark rap.

finally, although there are some funny points in this rap, it comes off as a lame attempt at buzz, which i will admit has succeeded, as i am currently talking about it.

in the end, asher’s got something that copywrite can only hope for – actual fame.
and this won’t change with some stupid diss track. sorry copywrite.

I feel that Asher is a one trick pony not here to stay, i do enjoy his music

Copywrite however is in my top mc’s, do i think its a little outlandish to diss asher roth, who is very humble though, yes. But i’d rather hear some new copywrite than no copywrite, so do what you gotta do to make music

okay… I’ve never heard of this Copywrite person, but my first thought would be that he’s jealous.

I listened to his song and honestly, like 30 seconds in I just tuned it out. Next thing I knew the song was over, I didn’t even notice it.

Personally I like Asher Roth’s music and I just don’t feel Copywrite (granted I did only listen to the one song).

I don’t listen to Asher, but I just checked his stuff out. This guy sounds almost Exactly like Eminem (wtf?). The point is there are so many white emcees that sound nothing like Eminem and are legit, but this guy sounds just like him. Yet, he’s defending white rappers by saying theyre automatically labeled Eminem clones? Copywrite is a beast, anybody that says different is obviously not really hiphop. White emcees that sound NOTHING like Eminem. Copywrite, Ill Bill, Everlast, R.A. The Rugged Man, Apathy, Slaine, and Vinnie Paz to name a few. Copy might have been looking for some attention, but in my opinion this guy Asher is bad for white emcees… it’s just not a good look. Somebody needed to put him in his place, and who better than a white rapper?

how come now a days you gotta be on the radio or have money to be classified by these dumbasses as a good rapper….i mean the money part is absolutely hilarious cas besides the few ones(em, 50, kanye, and jay) left out more but for the point of it most of them made their money off the fame they got from being a good emce. they didnt make the money off straight rappin or have money when they started…..i just love how asher roth comin into this claimin he got money and this and that when its his parents with the money and my man stevie rifkind…i meAN he is makin asher roths music…copy on the other hand i feel is more of an emcee not to say he isnt bogus at times but his music has much more meaning to it than listening about asher roth rap about what he dreams of….i mean to back asher it is similar how black rappers rap about the money the cars and clothes as well as white rappers but it comes more from them….when ash over here is rappin about college and drinkin….i give props to stevie not asher for some of you who dont know who he is because your defending asher roth knowing nothing about him…..i hate asher roth fans cas they back him saying hes the best rapper when 1. they know nothing about rap 2. its the first white pop/rap star since em 3. the other good rappers they know are 50 kanye and now unfortunately drake
