  Tupac used it in California Love and it was b.a. and now everyone is ruining that song by creating absolute SHIT with autotune, t-pain became popular because he was the person who made a.t. popular, i think he sucks, but it’s his style.   Too many haters these days. JayZ is just saying what most people were thinking. He’s telling rappers that he wants rap to go back to just spitting sick lyrics not how many cool gadgets they can use every song. Jay is one of the greatest of all time and nobody can deny that.

  Its not art when you’re cheating. Its not art when its constantly being repeated over and over and over again. If you’re going to use auto tune, why can’t you just lower the attack? If you really need that much help, you don’t need to have the attack obnoxiously high, to get that… What they call… “T-pain effect.” All you would have to do is lower the attack and sensativity. THe thing is, people are using it as an effect, not as a tool, and that what it was soly made for. For people who couldn’t do a specific run, or hit a specific note. Don’t get me wrong, as a producer, its fun to mess with, but when its on every, single, fucking, song, now adays, its old. it really is. This is how i feel on it. i think DOA was a boring song, but it was about damn time someone came out and said something. If he didn’t, who would have, you know?
