Hip-Hop Is Dead

What Wikipedia Says:

  • Hip-Hop Is Dead is a studio album by American rapper and hip hop artist Nas, released December 19, 2006.

What Rappers Really Mean:

  • My favorite music genre has been misappropriated for carousing, debauchery, lasciviousness and violent activity.

  • IT’S COOL FOR WHITE BOYS TO RA

What “IT’S COOL FOR WHITE BOYS TO RAP NOW” really means: HIP HOP HAS BEEN WHORED OUT.

  • THE HATER!!!

hip hop is dead means the essence, spirit and realness can not be heard in the music anymore therefore hip hop is dead..the music is no longer important and you people use a artist visibility instead of his talent to juge his art….fuck yall..the hater has spoken

    I like “THE HATER’S” answer better…

do you think its biased to only have Soul Brother be your rapper of choice for this section? A Gospel/Inpsirational Rapper/Lyricist speaking on behalf of Rappers on every topic leaves me to scratch my head…Is this really “what rappers mean” or “what a rapper means”?

I don’t see much of a difference between The Hater’s definition and Soulbrotha’s.

@cathrynmarie: WRRM is all in good fun and taste. It’s not meant to be an end-all, be-all definition for everything rappers say rather its meant to poke fun at intended meanings and final outcomes of these things we say. ‘Cos a lot of times us rappers say these things for entertainment purposes not because we really think/feel its exactly as rapped or stated. My qualifications as a ‘Gospel/Inpsirational Rapper/Lyricist’ don’t prevent me from being able to speak on these things imo.

I think you looked over the key word in my message; ONLY…I was suggesting the possible usage of other rappers…..wasn’t a personal attack
