Let’s face it, all the “quality” albums have either dropped or leaked at this point. So, assuming you still disagree with Nasir’s early Album of the Year pick, what other hip-hop albums* made you feel warm and tingly inside? Sound off.

I peed my pants from laughter at these Slaughterhouse picks…that album is garbage. I would go with any of Rae, Jay, Mos, Kid Cudi, Mayer Hawthorne, BLK JKS, or Q-Tip right now.

U-God? Maybe I’ll pick that up.
OB4CL2 is really good. But the M.O.P – Foundation is good one also.

Ali is hot. BK-One and Felt will be ill. But the best so far is still P.O.S. He’s incredibly innovative, and I lovelovelove those grungy, chunky punk-/drum ‘n bass-inspired grooves!

beats are entirely generic…only royce has versatility…they try to do the same thing on each track, and the result is monotonous…its like a mixtape, which are 99% awful…plus, they are the worst live act i have ever seen…and that doesnt help their cause.

Gotta be Brother Ali – Us. Feels like the man poured his soul into that one. OB4CL2 is next. Mos Def and DOOM are up there too, but you gotta give it to Ali.

I’m really feeling Us, OB4CL2, The Ecstatic and Man On The Moon, but Cudi’s isn’t on the same level (yet). OB4CL2 is so much more than I expected to hear from the (aging) Wu-Tang camp, but it comes down to Ali and Mos for me. I need some more listening time with Ali to fall on one side or the other.
