You know her as Sade Adu. I know her as the Queen of Smooth Jazz, and I can’t wait to hear her grainy voice again. Oh, and did I mention that she’s one of the sexiest artists to ever grace the stage? Sade’s first two albums are among my all time favorites. In fact, I’m pretty sure I was conceived to the tune of “Your Love Is King,” but I have no way of verifying that. OK, I’ll stop gushing and get to the point.
The point being that Sade has reunited with her band and is gearing up for the release of Love Supreme, the group’s first album of new material since 2000′s Lover’s Rock. Sony has not set a date for Love Supreme, but it’s supposedly due before the end of 2009. If she still has that smooth jazz mojo, we might be in for a holiday treat. *fingers crossed*
