The Memphis Grizzlies announced the termination of Allen Iverson’s one-year contract with the team in what it called a mutual agreement. Iverson took an indefinite leave of absence on Nov. 7 after playing only three games with Memphis. He complained non-stop about his role as a reserve.
The two sides have agreed to terminate his contract and Iverson is expected to be placed on waivers by 6 p.m. ET Monday. Iverson will only get an undisclosed portion of the $3 million he was scheduled to earn. He will become an unrestricted free agent on Wednesday night if he clears waivers.
Hey, I hear Houston is in dire need of a shooting guard. I keed! I keed!! Good luck getting another NBA team to sign your whiny ass, Allen. Well, this gives him enough time to focus on his rap career.
