Every time I come up on a situation where someone finishes a conversation with “yeah, well so-and-so is probably turning over in their grave right now” I roll my eyes. Partly because it’s this odd physiological reaction I have when I find a statement both semi-ironic and moderately funny but mostly because I’m convinced that lines like that have been in use in various forms since Moses parted the Red Sea and/or DJ Kool Herc started spinning at parties in the Bronx. I can never remember which.
Thus, Tweets From The Grave was born. A feature showcasing tweets from (in)famous hip-hop artists which are always in response to current events. What would Biggie say about Jay-Z’s birthday? What would Big L have to say about Kanye’s VMA debacle? Pop the lid to find out what 2Pac, Aaliyah and Houston’s own Big Hawk said about Tiger Woods and his camera-friendly woman-on-the-side, Jaimee Grubbs.
