Please leave John Mayer alone. He is very very sowwy. He just wants to play his guitar.

“I quit the media game. I’m out. I’m done,” a teary John Mayer told the audience at the Sommet Center. “I just want to play my guitar.”

Oh and this:

Hey John, that’s good and all but when your album drops, I’m going to have a black supremacist wallet. In the words of Ice T, well, there goes his black fans. Consider your hood pass revoked, Johnny Boy.

I still can’t figure out what he meant when he said it.

The first comment about the hood pass was actually his attempt to take the interviewer (or anybody else who uses I suppose) for the implied racism in the statement. Like, ‘why don’t you say what you mean when you’re saying ‘hood pass’?’ It was just clumsily stated, and he used the n-word to do it. Big mistake.

The whole “David Duke dick” thing was just the sort of douchey, ugly, poor taste statement I’d expect from the cat who wrote “Daughters.”

So I get what he was saying. He still shouldn’t have said it, point blank. Not as though I needed a reason to not purchase any John Mayer records, co-signs from rappers aside.
