Kweli starts off lamenting that passion is missing from the game and then proceeds to show us just how to regain it. The recipe consists of “one-part pain & suffering, two-parts brains & hustlin”” sprinkled atop Hi-Tek’s soulful production.
It’s a beautiful reminder of why we fell in love with Reflection Eternal nearly a decade ago. I don’t even mind that he’s still flaunting that Jay-Z line like an insignia. Reflection Eternal’s new album, Revolutions Per Minute, is slated for April 6, 2010. Get off your ass and go mark your calendar.
