Sound Clash: Rhymefest vs. Wale

Rhymefest’s latest buzz track, “Letter,” has an interesting back story. There are two versions of the song by two different rappers. Both versions feature the same hook (courtesy of everyone’s favorite white singer). Same song, different MCs. Fest says he recorded the song for his El Che LP while he was still on Allido Records. It somehow wound up on Wale’s Attention Deficit as a bonus track, this time with Wale’s raps.

Question: Who rapped it better?

    Rhymefest was much more believable and sincere on the track. This comparison reminded me a little bit of comparing Memphis Bleek to Beanie Sigel. I can understand both sides, but I gotta side with Beans.
