Ciara’s “Ride” Video Too Hot for BET

Ciara’s “Ride” video has been banned by the moral standard bearers at BET. Why? Because she’s awesome and BET is that fat girl in school who hates all the skinny girls. Allegedly, it’s too sexual (whatever that means these days) for BET’s audience (see Cici’s response above). Maybe. But it’s no “Telephone” or “Not Myself Tonight.”

In case you haven’t seen it, here’s the too-hot-for-TV video for “Ride” alongside Ludacris.

The ban seems to be more of a statement than an implementation of company policy. I’ve seen far more provocative stuff on my local news channel.
