When I received an email with the above title, I was expecting to see Rakaa (of Dilated Peoples) draped in a thorn of crowns a la Kanye on Rolling Stone. Instead, I was greeted with a very unique album art. It’s art…literally. As in, an original painting dubbed Lord Enlil by artist Doze Green.
Crown of Thorns features production by The Alchemist, !llmind, DJ Babu, Sid Roams & El-P. Guest apprearances by Aloe Blacc, Fashawn, KRS-One, Dilated Peoples. It’s scheduled to arrive on 7/20.
