Nothing brings New York musicians together like national crisis. To that effect, BP’s oil spill debacle is a gift that keeps giving. Cue “Top Kill,” a protest video against British Petroleum, by NY blues-rock outfit Electric Black. The art piece performance is just one of many protests gestating around the nation.
You probably heard about last week’s flash protest at the BP station in Houston. It turned out to be a ridiculously large protest with upwards of 12 people on parade. A bunch of CodePink crazies camped out in front of BP headquarters in Houston naked and soaked in oil. I don’t know what boobs have to do with BP. Maybe they were trying to say that BP execs are boobs?
