Lil Wayne Freestyles from Jail

Backed by Drake’s “Light Up” beat, Lil Wayne kicks a freestyle from jail. He literally dialed in his verse from Rikers Island, where he’s currently serving a jail term. It’s amazing how coherent he sounds when sober.

Choice rhymes: “I’m feeling like Elvis, Jailhouse Rock, / I’m not 2Pac, I’m the new Pac / Behind bars, but the bars don’t stop / Recording over the phone, I hope the call don’t drop / Drizzy got the ball, I know the ball won’t drop / And I pray none of my kids ever wanna be pop.”

Adds a whole new meaning to the expression “phoned it in.”
