I finally got around to reviewing Thank You Later. I had a lot more to say about it, but I had to show restraint (yeah, even as a staunch supporter of the long review format). Check it out. Comments, suggestions, hate mail more than welcome.

  1. Interesting review. When you set the bar so high, like what Drake did on his MIXTAPE, how do you expect the debut album to sound just as good?

  3. I really liked it. He doesn’t spit jaw dropping rhymes like some other rappers, but he knows how to capture some emotion and craft an album. Listened to the mixtape and then two days later listened to the album. Liked both.

  11. I was anticipating an incredible album, but feel like it didn’t hit as hard as it was expected to. With Drake flooding the internet previously, it seemed as though I heard most of what was on this album before it even dropped. He still has excellent skills and shows us all that there are no limits in hip hop.

  13. Solid review, even if it has TML a little lower than my personal opinion.
