Kanye dropped the “Power” remix last night and the Internet went nuts. While some fans thought it was the second coming of Christ himself, others hated it. It took me about 2 quality listens before I realized how great the song is.

Jay drops an incredible verse (anyone that says otherwise, I’ll be happy to debate ‘em). Kanye fills the song with quotable rhymes (peep the “Power” Remix lyrics) before AND after the beat change. As for that break, Swizz Beatz definitely gets the handclap from me (although, I could’ve done without his screaming on the song).

A remix is supposed to incorporate the old song, while giving you something fresh and new on it to make it better. Mission accomplished.

  1. jay’s verse sounded tired to me. i hate to say this but on this track i expected him to amp up that hova “swag” and have his verse chock full of double entendres and slick wordplay

  2. Damn , yeezys last verse is amazing.
