A few songs worth adding to your iTunes library today. Just my thoughts, Ladies and Gentlemen.
Nipsey Hussle – Monster Freestyle
Nipsey lets loose on Kanye’s “Monster” beat. Subtle as a shot glass hurled at your dome.
Pimp C – Since the 90s
Pimp C reminds us that he’s been stacking cheese since the 90s, while E-40 throws down Yay Area slang.
Tinie Tempah (Feat. Kelly Rowland) – Invincible
Tinie Tempah has been buzzing in the U.K. for a hot minute, but Miss Rowland’s assist should help deliver him to U.S. audience.
Wale – The Extra Tip (The Way To Love Me)
“Extra Tip” is an extra track from the cutting room floor of More About Nothing.
R Kelly – Fireworks
Kells is back at it. His new album is slated for September 21st via Epic.
Atmosphere – Free Falling
Atmosphere, makers of all things awesomely emo, dropped “Feeling” as a freebie in support of their upcoming To All My Friends tour.
Reks – This Or That
Reks popped up with arguably the hottest song of ’08 and disappeared for a while. He has a new album coming out, but he’s dropping an EP before that. “This Or That” is taken from that EP. I forget the name.
Wiz Khalifa – Not Ready (Feat. French Montana)
Chop laced this lukewarm joint, which appears on Wiz Khalifa’s Coke Boyz mixtape. No disrespect to Wiz fans who dig everything he does. I prefer “Black and Gold.”
Rah Digga – This Ain’t No Little Kid Rap (Feat. Redman)
Who knew Redman was still around? Props to the undisputed Queen of Jersey for inspiring Reggie to come out of his cave.
Nicki Minaj – Check It Out
Will.i.am teams up with the greatest female rapper of all-time. What’s not to love?
Skillz – Call Me Crazy
Skillz, you are indeed crazy for this one, sir. What a way to follow up that Adam Goldstein tribute. And I don’t mean that as a compliment.
T-Pain (Feat Rick Ross) – Rap Song
“Rap Song” sucks ass cheeks, but I’m sure there’s someone out there who will totally appreciate it. You’re welcome.
Pimp C – What Up (Feat. Drake, Bun B)
Boi-1da slapped this one so hard I forgot what the song was supposed to be about. I miss Pimp C.
