Gary Weis’ groundbreaking 1979 documentary, 80 Blocks From Tiffany’s, is now available on DVD. a 1979 documentary directed by Gary Weiss. The film depicted the clandestine activities of South Bronx gangs, primarily the “Savage Skulls” and the “Savage Nomads”
The DVD release will include the feature film, interviews, a 40 page hard cover book featuring brand new liner notes, artwork by Julian Allen, the original “Savage Skulls” article by the late Jon Bradshaw (Esquire Magazine, June 1977), and more.
If you’re a culture junkie like me, I highly recommend this DVD.
