Some high school cheerleaders in Bridgeport, Connecticut think their midriff-baring uniforms show too much skin and they want local officials to step in and help. No, I’m not making that up. A former captain of a cheerleading squad took the complaints to the Bridgeport Board of Education last week, and then proceeded to give them a strip show just to make a point.

“We ask with the utmost respect you (to) do anything in your power to help us,” said former Captain Medina, according to the Post. “I don’t feel comfortable wearing this.”

Another cheerleader offered: “I am embarrassed to stand up here dressed like this. Is this really how you want Bridgeport to be represented?”

In other news, inmates complain that prison uniforms have too many stripes.

  1. I actually agree with them. Those aren’t cheerleader outfits. They’re practically wearing nothing more than innerwear/lingerie. There’s a place for everything.

    *prepares for hate*

  2. Wait. *clicks article link* Never mind.

  3. Lol why are they cheerleading then? That’s like when models complain about wanting to be seen for more than their bodies…then go do something with your life, lol…

Besides, I dunno about everyone else on here, but at my high school, the cheerleading girls looked worse than the dance team girls anyway, so no one was checking for them, haha

    • Woah you are incredibly ignorant.

      Models came to be because
designers needed some way to show off their clothing – they originally
picked women without curves because focus was meant to be on the
clothes, not the models. They are not meant to be seen for their bodies,
they are meant to showcase clothes – if you want to see skin go to a
      strip joint.

You say “why are they cheerleading then” – Again so
ignorant. We don’t become cheerleaders to wear miniskirts and look
attractive for males – then we would have become strippers instead.

become cheerleaders because they like to SPREAD joy and cheer through
dance, song and gymnastics – not from showing skin.

      Many schools
have cheerleaders down to the age of twelve, its disgusting that men
like you have turned it into something nasty and have such a twisted
      view on it.
