I’ve had an strange fascination with Operation Doomsday for awhile. Mmm…Food is probably DOOM’s best album based on production alone, but Operation Doomsday is his most complete album. So, imagine how thrilled I was to learn that MetalFace Records is re-releasing a complete and remastered version of DOOM’s brilliant debut this spring.

The reissue boasts the original album, alternate versions, B-sides and instrumentals: a total of 51 tracks. It sports all new artwork and two deluxe metal formats. You get 2 discs, a metal 4-LP box each containing a 32-page lyric book, and a set of 10 cards with images of the Operation Doomsday MCs. As a bonus, you also get a DOOM lunch box graphic enough to get your little cousin kicked out of school.

This is a must-buy for all DOOM fans.
