53rd Grammys in a nut shell: Jay-Z was a no-show. The Roots lost Best Rap Album to Eminem. Wheelchair Jimmy lost Best New Artist to a more deserving newcomer. A country group with a slavery-era name won everything else. Worst of all, the Academy found space for a bunch of no-names on the death roll, but not a single R.I.P. for Guru or RAMMΣLLZΣΣ.

  1. No RIP Guru is a serious fail. An what the heck is a lady antebellum?

    • Fuck those empty suits.

  2. Meh, not really surprised, except for Arcade Fire and Esperanza getting wins…every year the Grammys shit on Black people, so we shouldn’t be surprised by their fuckery.

    • i’m white, and i completely agree with you. eminem with back-to-back rap album of the year wins? relapse was utter trash, and recovery was mediocre. albums that were better: revolutions per minute, distant relatives, adventures of bobby ray, how i got over, sir luscious left foot, trill OG, pilot talk, marcberg. i’m sick of people on em’s jock because he’s “different” and “meaningful.” to me, recovery showcased a whiny celebrity who’s past his prime. the grammys are trash. all pop music.
