Jay-Z has succeeded where Drake and many others failed. And after a storm of buzz, the first collaboration between Sean and Sade is finally upon us.

Where the original “Moon & The Sky” deployed a bruised wail, the remix is powered by a thicket of snares ricocheting off the lush keys. The lethargic backbone of the OG has also been replaced by a mid-tempo thump to accommodate Jay’s cadence. There’s a yogi listening to this somewhere and thinking about leading an om to the beat.

The OG version of “Moon & the Sky” appeared on Sade’s comeback LP, Soldier of Love. The Jay-assisted remix is taken from her hits CD, The Ultimate Collection, out May 3rd.
