Earlier this week, Jay Electronigga thumbed a string of tweets about his mildly anticipated Roc Nation debut, Act II: The Patent of Nobility (The Turn). Among them was claims of collaborations with Jay-Z and David Bowie.

“What if I told you we even got David Bowie singing bg vox on a record?” Jay said.

But Bowie went out of his way to deny it in a message posted on his website.

“Following reports of tweets suggesting a vocal contribution yesterday, we can tell you that David Bowie is not singing on the new album by Jay Electronica,” a statement said.

Oh dear.
