Lenny Kravitz (feat. Jay-Z & DJ Millitary) – “Boongie Drop”
Sleek and spring-loaded. Jay kicks patois and shouts out Dorothy Muthafuckin’ Smith. Remember her? Cool points assigned, bruh.

Young Jeezy (ft. Freddie Gibbs) – “Gotta See This”
“Ballin'” 2.0. Gangsta Gibbs sounds as comfortable as Tunechi did on “Ballin.” Brags on brags on brags. What recession?

Hollywood Floss – “Attack of Hollywood”
Remember when GZA stitched an entire song around rap labels? This is the movie version of that. Penned between teaching stints. The name is Hollywood, so it only makes sense.

Pusha T (feat. Kanye West) – “Amen”
Beat by Shawty Redd. Creeps up on ya with a ski mask and a bat. “Jesus Walks” it is not, but it’s pretty damn good. From Fear of God 2 EP, due August 23rd.

Soulbrotha – “She Won’t”
Feels like a frost bite. Antithetical to the OG in many ways. Listen all the way to the end. Treats await.

Lenny Kravitz (ft. Drake) – “Sunflower”
Bubble bath music.

Styles P (ft. Busta Rhymes & Rick Ross) – “Harsh”
One of the best things I’ve heard all year. Busta’s been quietly dropping guillotine raps for the past 12 months. I’m not mad at that, but he needs to stop hogging that hot tub time machine and share with Snoop. #noeddielong
