As a citizen of the old world I’m only familiar with Thanksgiving traditions through their representation in pop culture, but I’ve gathered as much as that the halftime show is a pretty big deal. Having to sit through a Nickelback show however, can’t be much of a joy, regardless of the amounts of desserts or the quality of the turkey filling. Thankfully (see what I did there?), Detroit-native Mayer Hawthorne has you covered if you’re in the market for some sweet soul music as an alternative halftime show through RollingStone.com.
