A National Basketball Association already beset with tragedies such as injuries to star players and the prospects of a Sixers-Nuggets finals has been dealt another blow with the announcement of somewhat talented Miami Heat forward LeBron James as the league MVP, according to a person with knowledge.
This is LeBron’s third MVP award. He joins Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Michael Jordan, Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and Moses Malone as winners of three or more MVP winners.
