Some heavily effed up news, hip-hop has lost one of it’s icons. Adam Yauch, one third of the Beasties, has passed away. Back in 2009 the release of their latest album was pushed back when MCA had been diagnosed with cancer after a tumor was found in his throat. The album was eventually released last year, much to the delight of yours truly. Unfortunately, he succumbed to the disease earlier today.
A proper tribute piece will no doubt arrive soon, but for now, I’m grabbing a beer and will sit in the corner with one of my favorite albums of all time, Paul’s Boutique, in my headphones. R.I.P. Yauch.
