The Blues overcame a coaching change, a mess of injuries and suspensions, and host of incredible odds to clinch the biggest prize in European club football – the UEFA Champions League. It’s a first for a London club. And they did it without a left winger. They did it with Bosingwa, Bertrand and Kalou starting. They did it going down 3-1 in the shootout with Juan Mata missing Chelsea’s first shot. They did it in Bayern’s backyard, a stadium bedecked with red and white. Two trophies in two weeks, none sweeter than the Champions League. How sweet it is.
