All good things must come to an end. Today it’s the final collection of tracks that comprise Wit & Dre Murray’s Hell’s Paradise sequel. Initially doled out as individual “episodes” via their InvisibleGorilla.net site, today’s free download includes the entire Mask Parade album.

MP is both a follow-up and “reimagining” of the initial Hell’s Paradise effort. Months before Kanye introduced us to his Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, producer Wit and Southern lyricist Dre Murray used their project to give us a similar cinematic spin of the world from their personal perspective. In fact, once I heard Mr. West’s tale (after HP) I was struck by the yin and yang DNA they seemed to share.

Mask Parade contains some of the same brooding beat textures you recently heard on Lecrae’s Church Clothes mixtape (Wit produced the title track and other songs) and even the original remix (not an oxymoron) of “Welcome to H-town” also heard on that project.

These final seven songs are dubbed “Psycho” and continue to bring the Hitchcockian interludes and hope-in-the-midst-of-darkness theme listeners have grown accustomed to throughout this journey.

Like the final installment of your favorite TV series, this is one you’ll want to savor.
