We at TRU normally refrain from posting commercials, but this is one that may be too good to pass up now that the “Little Ole Band from Texas” has covered a certified Southern classic.

In the following video for a beverage called Jeremiah Weed (which we can only is some blend of beer and energy drink that tastes like a jar of goat piss left out in the sun), the bearded boys surprise unsuspecting convenience store customers with their rocking rendition of “25 Lighters” previously made famous by DJ DMD, Fat Pat, Lil Keke, and DJ Screw.

According to The Hollywood News the song will also be in the upcoming “Battleship” movie (based on the board game) and involves both Rick Rubin and Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine. All of which only serves to further the notion that this could possibly be the most awesome/terrible collaboration of trash and art ever made to mash.

What’s interesting is that this isn’t the only “25 Lighters” reimagining on the horizon. DJ DMD is now a born-again Christian and has recently been Tweeting about a supposed remake called (gulp) “25 Bibles” with Houston rapper Bizzle.

When/if that one pops up we’ll let you know. For now, enjoy this blues rock take on the track.
