If you heard something like a saw going through some cheap wood earlier today it might’ve been the sound of the hip-hop blogosphere collectively scratching their heads at the sight of Wiz Khalifa’s new album art. Wether you believe we are witnessing the future of hip-hop fashion, a creative individual expressing himself or a seminal moment in the series “when keeping it smoked out goes wrong,” we can all agree the photo covering O.n.i.f.c. (Only N***a In First Class) showcases some unique sartorial choices.

TRU has obtained some exclusive early drafts of the soon to be iconic cover art and shares them with you so we can assess the creative process behind the masterpiece. That, or we quickly set our PhotoShop monkeys to work to crudely crank out some snarky attempts at humor, whatever works for you.

Could guitar wonder Jimi Hendrix be an inspiration for Wiz his newfound sense of style? Given the soulless husk his last album sounded like he can sure use some of the master’s fire in his tunes.

Let’s get real for a second, we all know who’s wardrobe was raided for this photoshoot.

There definitely seems to be some overlap between the garments everybody’s favorite eye-shadow wearing pirate dons and Wiz his clothing here. Being hit with a sunstroke explains a lot in both cases.

PETA is not gonna like this cover. How many puppies did you kill for that jacket, Wiz? HOW MANY?!?

Of course, the überpimp of the eighties could get away with wearing anything. He had to be an inspiration for this. And pancakes. Everybody loves pancakes.
