Black Friday Record Store Day has some very special releases by the Get On Down team in collaboration with Traffic Entertainment in stock. G.O.D. is of course known for some astounding deluxe reissues of classic records and Traffic has built a strong reputation in that area as well, not with the packaging especially but they have picked up several out of print records crucial to hip-hop formative years and under-appreciated gems, to make them available again for new generations (or those that slept the first time around).

The two labels are joining forces on Biz Markie’s The Biz Never Sleeps, which comes as a picture disc vinyl with original front and back cover photography by George DuBose and includes a postcard that is actually playable as a vinyl record for the track ‘Just a Friend.’

The Fat boys are being reissued in a pizza box, with the picture disc of the vinyl on both sides looking like an actual pizza, with the delivery note containing the record info. This is insanely dope, these guys are setting the bar higher for everyone in the game right now. You can’t download stuff like this!
