HipHopDX reports on a recent interview A$AP Rock gave where he talks about being seen as gay by some people because he dressed different than what’s perceived as the norm for a rapper. He calls for more tolerance and admits he used to have a problem with gay people but has come to see those views as childish:
I don’t discriminate against anybody for their sexual preference, for their skin color… That’s immature. Not only that, not only do I know the difference between that, but I’m wise enough to know that that’s just stupid and wrong, and I’m just trying to spread that to everybody. Yo, you don’t have to worry about what he’s doing. If he’s gay, that’s his business. Why does it matter?
Let’s give dude a hand for having the stones to change his views and admit to it like that. Real talk.
