Oh No has remixed the Stereotype album Strong Arm Steady released earlier this year. They’ve kept it under the wrap so far thoug, it’s available as of right now exclusively through Stones Throw’s online store as a digital release at the friendly price of $7.99 or through their subscription service.

Stereotype was originally recorded late last year with Statik Selektah on the beats, 14 tracks total. Oh No’s flip of the album is a shorter album than the original – seven vocal tracks with some worthwhile Oh No interludes, 30 mins runtime, and the price is nice.

No disrespect to Statik Selektah’s solid boom-bap, but I think I might just prefer Oh No’s distorted funk take. Listen to a preview track below (‘No Sky Limit’ ft. Dom Kennedy) and keep an eye peeled on TRU for an exclusive interview with Oh No dropping later this week.

1982 was when Jaap van der Doelen aka J.Monkey shot his way out his mom dukes. A mere two years later he was already battling Big Brother and The Illuminati. Whenever he has time to spare from those efforts he writes (about music, mostly), hosts a radio show and designs graphics for a living. He lives in The Netherlands where he continues to be winning.
