Here’s British newspaper The Guardian using a quintessentially American artform to depict that country’s election. Richard Adams and Erin McCann have created a very cool, subtly animated webcomic depicting the excruciating march toward Barack’s second term.

It’s been a long – really long – campaign, one full of twists and turns, gaffes and memes. Now that Americans have chosen Barack Obama over Mitt Romney, catch up on the story that brought us here

The whole thing navigates simply by scrolling downward and has some cool feats besides telling the story well and succinctly.

1982 was when Jaap van der Doelen aka J.Monkey shot his way out his mom dukes. A mere two years later he was already battling Big Brother and The Illuminati. Whenever he has time to spare from those efforts he writes (about music, mostly), hosts a radio show and designs graphics for a living. He lives in The Netherlands where he continues to be winning.
