Ouch. Poor Pusha. First his label boss entirely steals his thunder and nixes his carefully crafted buzz by releasing the biggest album of the summer a month ahead of him, and now he has this to offer to radio? From Thin Sean’s (his proper name according to Sean P, because he “looks like he can dodge rain ‘n shit” ) struggle bars to the perpetually baffling presence of 2 Chainz to the pretty played out UFO sample this was built on (and if you do use that again, at least make it a sufficiently grimey throwback like Shallah and DOOM did), there’s little to enjoy. To top it all off, even Pusha himself sounds like he wants to be somewhere else. Let’s hope this gets demoted to the mixtape fodder it deserves to be when My Name Is My Name finally drops.
“Be all you can be” certainly doesn’t seem to be the advice he acted on here. #SadFace
