Guru, one half of the greatest MC/DJ duo of all-time, suffered a heart attack over the weekend and went into a coma. Pray to God, Allah, or whatever deity you worship to have mercy on Guru.

The NAACP Image Awards took place last night. Precious swept the house and mopped the floor with Gabby's arms. Precious, a movie about an illiterate Harlem teen who is pregnant with her 2nd child, won an impressive 6 awards. It won for best picture, best independent picture, best actress for its star Gabourey Sidibe, best writing, and best directing. Which brings me to my next point. Precious director Lee Daniels gave what was arguably the most ignorant acceptance speech ever.

Lil Wayne is doing a full court press a la T.I. just before reporting to the big house. Wayne is set to go to jail on February 9th, where he’ll serve a 12-month sentence for gun possession stemming from a 2007 arrest in New York City.
