Fifteen years ago, a young Brooklynite named Christopher Wallace was the face of East-Coast hip-hop. His vicious rhymes, witty stories, and uncanny timing on the mic made him a staple. After Biggie died on 3/9/97, many have crowned Biggie the greatest rapper of all-time.

She looks like a rock star, croons like a songbird, writes like a poet, and rhymes like a rap vet. Meet Dessa, Minnesota's newest hip-hop wunderkind. She started off in the world of spoken word. As is often the case with spoken word acts, she also found a way to nurture her love for poetry and rapping.
